This sketch was created during the San Francisco Human Rights Commission’s Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10th, 2018. The digital tools I used were the iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Gen.), Apple Pencil and Procreate 4 app.
The celebration featured special guests, Commissioner Karen Clopton of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission; celebrated Jazz musician Paula West; Humanitarian Janet Reilly and DJ Jahi. In addition these local youth and schools participated: International High School, French American International School, Rooftop K8 School and Mission Dolores Academy. I focused on capturing each of the five winning student essayists who words about the articles of the declaration that most resonated with them were truly inspirational and eloquent:
