These two paintings, “Cable Car below the Pyramid” on the left and “Streetcar on Market Street” on the right, each 34″ wide by 51″ high, were created live at the Market Street Arts & Theater Festival, produced by Market Street Arts, where I was a featured artist in the “Monarch’s 10th Street Bohemian Lounge”. I was located in The Market, an exciting new Food Hall in the street level of the old Twitter building, a 1937 Art Deco masterpiece, historically the Western Furniture Exchange and Merchandise Mart, at 1355 Market Street in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco.
For both these paintings I used acrylic paint with a painting knife (plus some pigment ink wash on the “Streetcar on Market Street”). Both are works on canvas.
“Cable Car under the Pyramid” is currently on display, along with other artworks of mine, in The Market.
