This painting was created live a sunset reception and dinner at Bishop’s Lodge, Santa Fe, New Mexico. I started off with a background I created based on the textures, history and motifs of Santa Fe, plus examples of characters from the video games. The New Mexico clouds and light are amazingly beautiful but change every moment, especially as sunset approaches. I endeavored in this painting to capture the beauty and magic of that evening.
