You are invited to a stimulating, inspiring and eclectic afternoon of tea, cake, and fine art including a live drawing and painting performance! After starting with tea and cake, I’ll lead a tour of my studio sharing the stories behind the artworks. Then I will give live demonstrations of traditional and digital art. Friends have asked me if there’s a chance to see my Live Event Painting in action. This is it! I recommend coming for the whole event to get the most out of the experience. My art will be for sale. The artworks exhibited will include a wide range of media, sizes and price, drawn from over thirty years of being a professional artist. I hope you can join us for this unique event!

The Artspiration Schedule
4PM — Tea is Served
This experience has a beginning, middle and end. It will begin, in good British tradition, with tea being served at 4pm. I’ll be bringing out my collection of limited edition handcrafted artistic tea pots (some of which you can see in the photo below). The tea will be accompanied by cake, of course!
5PM — “The Stories Behind the Artworks” Tour
Every picture has a story. I’ll share the stories behind a few of the works on my studio walls, including some related to music and dance, some portraits, some scenes and some figure drawings.
6PM — Live Demos “From Traditional to Digital”
Fasten your seat belt for a journey of risk, improvisation and serendipity. I am going to share the transformation of my canvas, first a physical canvas and then a digital one, as I draw / paint from direct observation.
Purchase a Sutton Original
This will be a golden opportunity to purchase a Sutton original artwork. Most of the artworks in my studio at the Artspiration event will be for sale, with a range of media, sizes and prices. You will also be welcome to commission a custom piece.
