These parties would not be possible without an incredible group of enthusiastic "Star Groovsters" who let their friends know what great events these are:
***Star Groovsters: Nathan Dias, Noam Eisen, Andrea Fuchieleri, Peggy Gyulai, Dave Matthews, Steve Sodokoff & Robert Strong
Enjoy this exciting and unique creative dance party which brings together an eclectic mix of dance, art and music in an evening of celebration! Cut the rug up on the dance floor to a smorgosbord of great dance music that includes swing, tango, soul, bangra, salsa, blues, funk, disco, motown and much more...Treat yourself to this special evening of creativity, celebration and fun! My painting, "The Speech", of President-elect Barack Obama, was featured, along with paintings from my Dance series, at the Post_election Dance on November 21, 2008. The party was great fun with over 200 people enjoying a wonderful mix of music and people. Look forward to seeing you at the next party,
Your host, Jeremy Sutton PS: I started producing Move to the Groove dance parties in 2001 out of frustration at the homogeniety of the local dance event scene—if you went swing dancing it would be a whole evening of nothing but swing, if you went salsa dancing it was a whole evening of nothing but salsa, and likewise for tango. I wanted a fun eclectic dance party that provided a diverse mix of people and music in a venue with a great wooden dance floor and a good atmosphere including a full bar, tables and chairs. I make a special point as host to make everyone feel welcome at my parties. Come and discover for yourself! PPS: Thanks to all the people over the years who have helped make the Move to the Groove events possible, including all the many wonderful volunteers. You can get an idea of the joy and excitement of these parties from Dave Matthews' photos. |

"Yes Jeremy, please include me on your mailing list. I attended my first Groove in May and had a blast. I like how you play the sets : a few swing, a few salsa, a few funky tunes. Very cooool. The friendly crowd Cocomo draws makes it fun too! Thanks, Terry" |

"Jeremy, Holy sh*t!,I went to your event for the first time, not really expecting anything special and was promptly blown away. Got there at 9:00pm and finally stopped dancing at 2:00. I loved Spencer's eclectic mix of tunes, it was stimulating and exciting. I wish I hadn't waited so long to go, I will definitely tell all my dancing friends. If I didn't have something to do the next day, I'd still be dancing there. Too bad it isn't weekly. Thanks for giving me and the other dancers a great time. Steve" |
